If the dimensions of the truck + cargo exceed L 16.5m x W 2.55m x H 4.00m or 40 tons of weight, special permits are required  

Issuing permits takes about 1 day to complete the application process. The permits need to be translanted and certified. Aferwards it is needed another 3-5 workdays to finally get the permit

If the dimensions exceed the determined maximum dimensions by Road Authority for the types of roads:
Type A;B with 3 lanes: L 35m x W 4.2m
Type A;B with 2 lanes: L 30m x W 3.8m
Type C;D with more than 1 lane: L 28m x W 3.6m
Roads with 1 lane for each way: L 27m x W 3.3m

Police escort price is given upon application. Return of police cars from escort to HQ must be paid aswell.

After the permit is issued by Road authority ( 4-6 workdays), it is then sent to police. They require an extra 3-4 workdays to issue the authorization.

After the permit application is sent to Road Authority, the axle load of the truck is than compared to the bridge database. They then determine if such studies are needed or not. Usually for axle load more than 12 tons or total weight of 130+ tons, such studies are required. These studies take 30-45 days to be made and approved.
